India has modified visa requirements several times over the past few months. The most recent change requires applicants to submit a copy of either their birth certificate or school diploma. Applicants should not send original documents and the Indian consular service does not take responsibility for any original documents that are sent. Other requirements include a completed visa application, a valid passport and two passport-style photos. India will no longer accept visa applications in which the applicant is wearing glasses in the photo.
